Our pure organic flavour Extracts and artisan Cocktail & Soda Elixirs originally began as a complimentary project to our family's artisan distillery.

Pemberton Distillery is a Certified Organic artisan distillery specializing in boutique organic spirits. We are located in the Pemberton Valley of British Columbia, a beautiful agricultural valley right in the heart of the Coast Mountains and renowed for world class potatoes, fresh farm produce and pristine glacial waters. It is our philosophy to select the best our region has to offer and create authentic and unique products.

PURE FLAVOUR EXTRACTS

The majority of high quality flavour extracts for use in culinary applications are made with an alcohol base. This is because the flavour and aroma compounds of plants, flowers, beans, seeds and nuts are held primarily in their essential oils. As oil is not water soluble, alcohol is naturally able to extract these oils and keep them in suspension. In liquid form these pure flavour and aroma compounds are easily mixed into recipes. Upon heating/cooking the alcohol evaporates off leaving an even distribution of flavour and aroma, without adding any sugar or acid to the recipe.

Realizing that most of the flavour extracts we find on store shelves today are - partially or fully - artifically flavoured and enhanced with colourings and sugar, it was a natural choice for us to create our own 100% pure organic extracts using only our own certified organic alcohol and certified organic and fair trade ingredients. We started producing them for friends and family and soon had local restaurants, chefs and bakers coming to the distillery for our flavour extracts,

There are no preservatives or artificial flavors in our recipes and we try to source our ingredients as local as possible.
